A perfect September day in East Sussex. Starting the day at Amy’s parents spectacular house in Isfield for the bridal preparations, we moved on to The Ram Inn in Firle for some beers with the wedding guests. The ceremony took place just up the road and was led by the exuberant Peter Owen Jones in inimitable style. Just a two minute walk across the churchyard led us to the reception at The Stables in the grounds of Firle Place. The temperature hit the high 20s, which was about as good as it can ever be in September in England for a beautiful couple of hours of champagne, croquet and highly competitive wheelbarrow racing, all with the tunes of the fantastic Mother Ukers in the background. We moved inside to enjoy a brilliant meal prepared by Elm Green Creative before four of the best speeches you are likely to see, with the groom’s brothers expertly MCing proceedings. From here, The Flo Collective took over the stage and entertained a packed dancefloor until the early hours. All the details were absolutely nailed, from the flowers by The Home Grown Flower Company to the interior details provided by English Woodlands and Tents ‘n Events. It genuinely could not have been better.
